This beautiful residence remember many owners. It was built in early twentieth century by Tolsdorff family. Then it belonged to von Diebes family, von Aulach, Semkowskich, von Dönhoff, von Buddenbrock and more. During world war II, the palace was used as a hospital for Germans. After the war, the whole property belonged to PGR and housed a school of economic and agricultural. Unfortunately, big fire in 1980 caused heavy damage to the palace. The ruins were bought by a private entrepreneur who put the heart into its reconstruction in accordance to the prototype.
It is an early Middle Ages settlement of Yotvingians also called "Swedish Lair". It’s approx. 2 km away from Dąbrowskie village. The Yotvingians came to polish lands around sixth century. They conducted numerous attacks on Polish and Russian lands until being bitten by Teutonic Knights in 1283. Their lands were divided between Teutonic Order, Poland and Lithuania.
It is a settlement on the hill with a height of 167 meters. It is located near the village Gryzy, between lakes Dybowskie and Długie. Historically, it was a typical defense structure. There is an interesting legend about the place. Apparently, there was a castle once that belonged to the commander of the army and his daughter. When father found out that his daughter fell in love with one of the soldiers, he couldn’t accept it. He banished the knight, and asked the witch to curse his daughter. This led to a disaster, and the castle sank in the lake. Later, a beautiful girl appeared to a young man and asked to carry her out to the edge of the lake. There were horrible snakes and creatures following them. Suddenly, he turned back to check how far the creatures are and dropped the girl back into the water. Since then, the ghost of a girl shows up floating above the lake and cry.
It is a building of beautiful architecture. The most interesting room is a huge ballroom and wide, curved staircase leading to the first floor. Unfortunately, during the world war I Russian military used it for a hospital. Currently Manor house belongs to a private owner.
