This church is a memory monument of the turbulent history. It was built around 1552 and burnt down by Tatars in 1656 along with the entire village. Another severe destruction took place on the second Sunday of Advent in 1674, when the violent storm swept it down. It is now kept in a very good condition. There is a stone wall and a gate leading into the church - it is a remnant of old monument dedicated to people who died Świętajno during the world war I.
