Elk lake - Elk Lake is a centre of Ełk city. Its total surfce area equals 385 ha and a maximum depth is 58.2 m.
Przytulskie lake - It's located between the village of Gąski and Przytuły. Total surface area equals 193.9 hectares and maximum depth reaches 19 m. Around the lake there are large fields, pastures and rural buildings. There is an island on the lake called "Cow Kepa" with an area of 1.3 hectares. Fish that you can fin here: roach, bream, eel, perch, pike, carp, rudd, crucian carp, whitefish and vendace rarely.
Selmet Great - It is a large lake with a total area of 1262 hectares. It's surrounded by several villages: Frosts, Sordachy, Makosieje, Giże, Koziki, Łoje, Laski Duże, Sędki, Buczki and Szeliga. On the lake, there are two islands with a total area of 3.3 hectares. Area around include farmland, pastures and meadows but the other part of shoreline is covered by forests and settlements. Fish that you can find here: pike, perch, eel, perch, catfish, carp, tench, roach, bream, ide, crucian carp.
Elk river has a length of 114 km and its total area equal to 1524.5 km2. It is a right tributary of Biebrza river. It flows trough Szeski Mountain, Gołdap village, Kowale Oleckie, Świętajno, Stare Juchy, Elk and Prostki, further via grajewski and moniecki counties. The largest villages situated along the river are Straduny, New Village Elk, Prostki and Grajewo.
