Ciche lake - small lake with an area of 16 hectares located in west of Zawady Oleckie village. On peninsula in western side of the lake, there are the remains of old settlement.
It is the oldest wooden church in the region of Mazury. It was built in years
1674 - 1676. You can actually feel the mood of the historical place when coming inside. Until now one can admire the ancient altar from 1708, pulpit, baptismal font and the organ from 1791.
This church is a memory monument of the turbulent history. It was built around 1552 and burnt down by Tatars in 1656 along with the entire village. Another severe destruction took place on the second Sunday of Advent in 1674, when the violent storm swept it down. It is now kept in a very good condition. There is a stone wall and a gate leading into the church - it is a remnant of old monument dedicated to people who died Świętajno during the world war I.
This beautiful residence remember many owners. It was built in early twentieth century by Tolsdorff family. Then it belonged to von Diebes family, von Aulach, Semkowskich, von Dönhoff, von Buddenbrock and more. During world war II, the palace was used as a hospital for Germans. After the war, the whole property belonged to PGR and housed a school of economic and agricultural. Unfortunately, big fire in 1980 caused heavy damage to the palace. The ruins were bought by a private entrepreneur who put the heart into its reconstruction in accordance to the prototype.
